Is Pneumonia contagious?
I'm a caregiver to an elderly woman who have a pneumonia. Just want to really variety sure that it is not contagious.
There are two forms of pneumonia. Viral and Bacterial. If she be contagious she would be surrounded by the isolation ward of a hospital. If it be that contagious every nurse and doctor would receive it and I've never hear of a doctor or nurse to develop pneumonia. Pneumonia however usually starts out as something else, a cold, the flu or some other upper respiratory infection or disease.
it is sorry.
Yes it is fundamentally contagious and it depends upon your immune system. Are you underneath stress? If so that can render powerless your immune system.Just cart the standard precautions, bathe your hand, purify your hand ,wipe your hand and try not to find to close to her physically rather.Otherwise do your best to hang on to yourself healthly.
its not the pneumonia its self to be exact contagious but contained by some cases what cause it is contagious but that can be as little as the flu to us. if it be contagious 3 of my kids would own have it and not purely the one plus they would not be put on a ward next to other children but contained by a room on nearby own and she wasn't she be on a ward next to lots of other kids.
