2 Yr. Old Has Small Pimple Like Bumps on Her Torso and Legs. Were colorless, now red. Anyone have an idea?

My daughter is just over 2 years outdated, and has small raised pimple similar to bumps, that started out colorless/skin colored- but now are red. I tried to pop the top off of one- to see if in attendance was fluid or anything inside, but she told me they hurt. They have rugged, dry-ish tops, and seem to be mainly on her front, on her upper legs and torso.
She seem a bit cranky and demanding, but she IS 2 years old...
She doesn't have a hallucination, or any other symptoms. We are going to take her to the doctor within the subsequent day or two, but I was of late looking for some ideas.

Answer:    Hey there. I'm sorry your daughter have been having a rough time lately.

After reading your situation my first thought be Keratosis Pilaris - a simple condition that affects more than half the population. It seems most potential. But please keep track of her for a bit and if she develops any more symptoms call your doctor. Sometimes bumps can be signs of allergies and other more serious conditions.

"Worldwide, KP affects an estimated 40 to 50% of the fully developed population and approximately 50%-80% of all adolescents [1]. It is more common within women than in men.[citation needed] Varying in level, cases of KP can range from minimal to severe[2].

There are several different types of keratosis pilaris, including keratosis pilaris rubra (red, inflamed bumps), alba (rough, bumpy skin with no irritation), rubra faceii (reddish reckless on the cheeks) and related disorders.

Many people with keratosis pilaris do not know they own it (if the condition is mild). While KP resembles goose bumps, it is characterized by the appearance of small rough bumps on the skin. As a result, it is often confused with acne."

Hope your daughter feel better soon! :).
I am not exactly SURE what it is yet. The doctor said it could be a form of shingles but he has to see them first. I hold an appointment in the morning and can get fund to you then! In any case, I own the SAME THING so I can tell you what she is experiencing.

Each of the bumps HURTS a LOT. The red part is tender to the touch (like a big pimple would be) but the white head on them are PAINFUL!! Please do not try to pop them!! When they simply rub against clothes it feels like tiny bees are stinging everywhere!

On the INSIDE of her body, she is probably achy and feel like all of her nerves are on the outside of her skin. What I ring "the creepy crawlies." That is why she is cranky.. she is in pain.

Tylenol and Benedryl help me this morning along w/ an anti-itch cream.

I hope at least THAT helps (even though it doesnt really convey you WHAT it is). If it IS shingles then they will spread and get worse and should be treated inside 72 hours of symptoms. It can come to anyone who has ever had chickenpox. Like I said, I havent see the doctor yet myself, but that is what I enjoy read.

Take care and baby that little one of yours, she is hurting!! (I know I am.. and I'm 30! LOL)
